Download Microchip Connect

Microchip Connect runs on your practice PC and automatically transfers microchip details from your PMS to the correct microchip database. Download the installer below, then enter your Account Number and Activation Key when prompted.

Install the app, then enter your Account Number and Activation Key once. It will open your dashboard automatically after that — no login needed. A desktop shortcut is created during install and the app stays live in your system tray.

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • 200 MB free disk space
  • Internet connection
  • Your Account Number and 20-character Activation Key (issued with your download)

How to install

  1. 1. Download the installer. Click the button above to download LostPawsConnect-Setup.exe.

  2. 2. Run the installer. Open the downloaded file. If Windows shows a "Windows protected your PC" warning, click More info → Run anyway.

  3. 3. Follow the setup wizard. Accept the defaults and click Install. The app will install in a few seconds.

  4. 4. Open Microchip Connect. It will launch automatically when setup finishes, or open it from the Start menu.

  5. 5. Enter your Account Number and Activation Key. Type your Account Number (for example ALL001) and the 20-character Activation Key, then click Continue.

  6. 6. Complete the registration form. Your Account Number and Practice Name are filled in already — add the remaining details and submit. Your practice is registered automatically.

  7. 7. You're live. Every later launch opens your dashboard straight away, and the app runs quietly in the background transferring microchip records automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • Lost your Account Number or Activation Key? Open your vet dashboard and go to Download Desktop App.
  • Activation says "not recognised"? Check the Account Number is exactly as issued and the Activation Key is 20 characters with no spaces.
  • Installer blocked by IT? Ask your IT team to allow LostPawsConnect-Setup.exe from lostpawsconnect.co.uk.
