Microchip Connect — automatic microchip registration for your practice

What is Microchip Connect?

Microchip Connect is a small Windows desktop app that sits quietly on your practice PC. When you implant a microchip and record it in your PMS, Connect automatically sends the chip number, pet details and owner details to the Lost Paws register. The owner receives their registration confirmation email within seconds. No re-typing, no paper forms, no separate logins.

Why vets use it

• Saves 3–5 minutes per microchip implant
• Eliminates transcription errors
• DEFRA-compliant registration, owner notified instantly
• Works with your existing PMS (no integration project required)
• Free for veterinary practices
• Runs in the background, no training needed for reception staff

How it works

1. You implant the chip and record it in your PMS as normal.
2. Microchip Connect detects the new record on your practice PC.
3. The chip is registered with Lost Paws and the owner gets a confirmation email.
